Targa Tasmania 2018 - Day 1
The official start of the event is held at the Country Club Casino Hotel. From there Mary and Craig drove out to the first stage, Kayena. This stage has a minimum time of 5 minutes with a practice RTZ, (Restricted Time Zone). It is basically designed for all to ease into the event.
The next stage is also a cleanable one, however you choose the pace. The Shelby felt good in its debut run since the full rebuild. The next stage was Georgetown - Mary’s home town. She asked me to pull out the stops, so I gave it a good shot, only to get held up by a Corvette of all cars that cost us some time not letting us past. That blew our fast time out the window, and I was a bit worked up after that, so we ended up 13th fastest overall.
The forecast for tomorrow is fine, so we look forward to a dry day to do our best. Look out as we take the Shelby GT through its paces, and thanks for following us - Go Team!
Craig.
