Targa Tasmania 2018 - Day 3

Mary and Craig were really looking forward to the third day's racing, with clear blue skies and dry weather. The day's first stage, The Sideling, is the one that's really treacherous when it's wet, so hitting the road this morning under the shining sun was just awesome. They did their best time ever there the fastest and things are going well, so that's pretty exciting.

After The Sideling was Moorina and then Weldborough Pass, with the road again dry so we could put the Mustang through its paces. The day flowed really well to lunch, and we were tussling with some of the fastest cars in the category. There are about five of us now battling in the lower half of the top ten and shuffling times back and forth, so it's been an exciting competition.

For the lunch break we had the pleasure of over 50 minutes, so we made a few adjustments and  checked over the car, as we do whenever we travel, so we had to fix a few minor things there. The lunch was beautiful - probably the best so far - lasagne and shepherd's pie, and the soup was great, too.
After lunch were Pyengana and Elephants Pass. We had a great run through there and we're continuing to do good times. I'm super happy the results.
The last day of the day was Rossarden and Mary and I were doing a good job. We had a good time and Mary was the saying to me that this is probably the fastest she has been through there, so you really enjoy yourself and it was pretty good end to the day. We have made it to the halfway point of the event, and look forward to tomorrow,

Craig.
